Maine Opera Atelier* of Portland is announcing four summer sessions.
Engaging and intensive labs for singers include physical training, vocal warm-ups, acting technique and performance time with personal coaching. Bring music, in your key, preferably memorized. Accompanist provided. Language coaching in Italian, German and French. Observers welcome. Moderated by Julie Goell.
These sessions provide a safe space and audience of peers in which professional and student singers may prepare concert and audition material, attending to quality of performance, relaxation and interpretation. Participants present scenes and solos from, but not limited to, opera repertoire.
