Maine Singers’ Atelier

Maine Singers’ Atelier of Portland, Maine is announcing three winter ‘09 sessions.

This engaging lab for singers includes physical training, vocal warm-up, acting technique and live performance with personal coaching by Atelier founder Julie Goell. The Atelier is an ideal forum for singers at any juncture of their career to work their material for auditions, recitals and engagements. Participants present scenes and solos from Opera, Musical Theater, Jazz, and original singer-songwriter repertoire. Bring music, in your key. Accompanist provided. Observers welcome.

The Atelier just completed its fourth concert program culminating in a week of touring. This season’s program is based on selections from the Great American Songbook and was very well received.

The studio name has changed from Maine Opera Atelier to Maine Singers’ Atelier to better reflect the eclectic mix of singers and instrumentalists who attend.
